Life is hard. There is hope.
Do you ever wonder why certain things happen? If the hard stuff from the past has a purpose? No matter where you are at on your life journey, I believe it is exactly where you are supposed to be. It doesn't mean you have to like it but accepting where you are at in this moment in time can help you move towards making positive changes in your life. I believe God puts us in certain places at certain times where we can meet certain people, who can then help us grind off some of our rough edges. Painful at times for sure, but out of those experiences can come incredible growth and healing.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). and a Certified First Responder Counselor. Besides the valuable education I received at UND, life experience has been my best teacher. I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and a variety of other concerns; I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); and I am able to provide Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, and I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families. On a personal level, I grew up on a small farm in South Dakota. I love gardening, reading, good food, and my family. My husband is my best friend. Our kids are out on their own. God has been good to me. Even when I turned my back on him, He just waited for me to come back. Maybe he's waiting for you?
